Taxi Media announces switch to two-week posting cycle

Taxi Media have taken the initiative once again and are now offering advertisers two-week posting periods. The first campaign to capitalise on the new two week tactical booking period is for Brand X.

Unlike most mainstream OOH media and despite isolated exceptions, taxi operators have been unable to marshal their fleets to accommodate fortnightly copy changes as standard policy. Taxi Media have now fundamentally changed the way taxi advertising is planned, sold and delivered, especially for multi-channel outdoor campaigns. They have overhauled their logistics, production and fitting facilities so they can now meet the changing needs of their agencies and advertisers more effectively.

Having relocated their Operations Centre to a new 10,000m2 site earlier this year and increased capacity in the process, Taxi Media rolled out the Brand X campaign this week. The SuperSide vinyls were printed in-house and fitted to all 00 taxis in less than 48 hours.

Booked through Specialist/Agency, the Brand X campaign also features OOH media and OOH media. It’s gone live just six weeks after the arrival of Richard Blackburn, former MD of Kinetic’s Zone, as Commercial Director. Commenting on the campaign Blackburn said, “Taxi advertising is an exciting and great value alternative to other main urban outdoor channels. Innovative products and initiatives like two week posting with new levels of accountability are being introduced so we can compete and integrate with other OOH media channels. The market has an appetite for short term posting right now, and Taxi Media have stolen a lead by gearing up to deliver just that.”
